B. LWC By-Laws
1. Voting on any issues will take place at the annual LWC meeting, which will
be on the night prior to the LWC Championship. Only those LWC members
present at the meeting will be permitted to vote.
2. Distribution of the minutes of the meeting will be done by our secretary in a
timely manner, to club presidents who do not attend this meeting.
3. All issues voted on will require a majority of the votes for passage, except
for voting on changing or removing any of our By-laws and all issues voted on
and passed at our first meeting. That will require a 2/3 majority for
approval. Also, the voting on selection of delegates to the BOG will be
based on a plurality method. This vote will take place at our annual
meeting. Any delegate to the last BOG meeting who did not attend will not
be permitted to be a delegate.
4. The LWC financial report will be given at our annual meeting.
5. An updated LWC Referee's test is to be developed and will be given to all
willing participants in an effort to officiate local and state contests as
accurately as possible and to provide individuals with a precursor to the
National test. A test score of at least 87.5% is needed to pass.
6. An Executive Board will be set up and it will consist of the officers of the
LWC plus 3 club presidents and 1 member at large. Our LWC President will
select the members.
7. Any club holding a sanctioned event may apply to the Executive Board for
financial aide to help with running his event.
8. Two weightlifting contests on the same day will not be permitted within our
LWC. Any contest within 2 weeks of an on going event will only be
permitted if the meet director of the on going event and the LWC president agree
to let this happen.
